Cover Reveals! There's a lot.

So, these covers have just started circulating around the blogosphere, and I've decided to help out. I love these covers, but have yet to read the series, but I'm pretty sure most of you already have read the previous books.

Here we are!

Sever (The Chemical Garden #3)
By Lauren DeStepano
Due Date: February 12, 2013

What if you knew exactly when you would die? In the not-too-distant future, genetic engineering has turned every newborn into a ticking time bomb — males only live to age 25 and females only live to age 20.
In this bleak landscape, young girls are kidnapped and forced into polygamous marriages to keep the population from dying out. When 16-year-old Rhine Ellery is taken by "the Gatherers" to become a bride, she enters a world of wealth and privilege. Rhine has only one purpose after she has been married to her new husband, Linden: to escape and find her twin brother.
But Rhine has more to contend with than losing her freedom. Linden's eccentric father is bent on finding an antidote to the genetic virus that is getting closer to taking his son, even if it means collecting corpses in order to test his experiments. With the help of Gabriel, a servant to whom she is dangerously attracted, Rhine is desperate to learn the truth and protect those closest to her. But, as her sister wife Cecily keeps insisting, her role may be much bigger than that.
In the first two books of the Chemical Garden trilogy, Wither and Fever, Rhine struggles to escape the mansion and then to navigate the brutal world outside. Now in Sever, the third and final book, Rhine uncovers some shattering truths about the past that her parents never had the chance to tell her and the alarming implications regarding her own genes. She may be the one who can save the human race.

I love the cover, but I wish the green had more to it. The others seem to have more something, but it might just be Rhine, who in the other covers is not looking up. Who knows.

The Indigo Spell
By Richelle Mead
Due Date: February 12, 2013

No official blurb yet, but at least we don't have to wait a whole year for the next one. And I know one of those boys is Adrian, but who is the other? Hmm.....

Perfect Scoundrels (Heist Society #3)
By Ally Carter
Due Date: February 5, 2013

Kat is a girl who is used to getting—or stealing—everything she wants. But telling the truth to the boy she likes? Now that's a cat of a different color.

When Kat's on-again off-again boyfriend, Hale, suddenly inherits his family's billion dollar company, Kat gets a tip-off that the will is a fake. Trapped between a rock and a hard place, how can she tell Hale that he might be living a lie?

Critics and fans alike have fallen for Heist Society (no conning necessary). With more mystery, non-stop action, romance and humor, this third novel in the hit series is just as irresistible.

I have yet to read this series. At first I wasn't even that interested in it. But then I saw my friend Noemi read it and she says it's good, and I've heard good things about it. So, it's on my to-read list, just not "I NEED TO READ THIS NOW" list. But I love the cover.

Iron's Prophecy: An Iron Fey Novella
By Julie Kagawa
Due Date: September 1, 2012

Meghan Chase is finally getting used to being the Iron Queen, ruler of the Iron Fey. Her life may be strange, but with former Winter prince Ash by her side at last, she wouldn’t have it any other way.

But when they travel to the Summer and Winter courts’ gathering for Elysium, the oracle from Meghan’s past returns with a dire prophecy: “What you carry will either unite the courts, or it will destroy them.” Now Meghan faces a devastating choice that may determine the future of all fey—and her and Ash’s unborn child…

Yeah, that's right people. UNBORN CHILD!!
KIERAN!!! (yeah, that's his name)
OMG I can't wait!! I'm not a fan of the snake though. It creeps me out.

Last one!

Deep Betrayal (Lies Beneath #2)
By Anne Greenwood Brown
Due Date: 2013

It's been thirty days, two hours, and seventeen minutes since Calder left Lily standing on the shores of Lake Superior. Not that she's counting. And when Calder does return, it's not quite the reunion Lily hoped for. Especially after she lets her father in on a huge secret: he, like Calder, is a merman. Obsessed with his new identity, Lily's dad monopolizes Calder's time as the two of them spend every day in the water, leaving Lily behind.

Then dead bodies start washing ashore. Calder blames his mermaid sisters, but Lily fears her father has embraced the merman's natural need to kill. As the body count grows, everyone is pointing fingers. Lily doesn't know what to believe—only that whoever's responsible is sure to strike again. . . .

I have yet to read to read Lies Beneath (if anyone has it and wants to trade, I'd be happy to!). I love mermaids. Was kinda disappointed not to see one on this cover, but because most of the people in my family are redheads, I like it. :P And from what it looks like, this story might be told from only Lily's POV. Can't wait!!

So, there you have it!

Keep On Reading!

  1. Oh my gosh!!!!! *tries not to hyperventilate* I had no idea that so many amazing covers were being released! You definitely need to get on reading Ally Carter's new series because it's so amazing and so fun, but the cover for Sever! I still like the first two better, but this one is still so pretty! The girl looks healthier and stronger, so maybe that has something to it? :')

Thanks so much for sharing, Tayte! <3
