Waiting on Wednesday #13

"Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted here, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating." Breaking the Spine

So, for this week, we have the past meets the present for hunters one in all!

Something Strange and Deadly
By Susan Dennard
Due Date: July 24, 2012

Goodreads: The year is 1876, and there’s something strange and deadly loose in Philadelphia…
Eleanor Fitt has a lot to worry about. Her brother has gone missing, her family has fallen on hard times, and her mother is determined to marry her off to any rich young man who walks by. But this is nothing compared to what she’s just read in the newspaper—
The Dead are rising in Philadelphia.
And then, in a frightening attack, a zombie delivers a letter to Eleanor…from her brother.
Whoever is controlling the Dead army has taken her brother as well. If Eleanor is going to find him, she’ll have to venture into the lab of the notorious Spirit-Hunters, who protect the city from supernatural forces. But as Eleanor spends more time with the Spirit-Hunters, including their maddeningly stubborn yet handsome inventor, Daniel, the situation becomes dire. And now, not only is her reputation on the line, but her very life may hang in the balance.

Why?
Well, I've been all up on the Shadowhunters of The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare lately, and I love them. When I remembered this one had hunters too, I knew I had to post this. Come on, they're like the same, except the Dead are actually dead and the hunters are called Spirit-Hunters. And Jace adn Daniel are pratically the same: handsome and stubborn.

City of Heavenly Fire
By Cassandra Clare
Due Date: March 2014

Goodreads: In Book 6: City of Heavenly Fire, Jace, Clary and their friends are drawn inexorably into a war that pits Heaven against Hell, angels against demons—a war that threatens to destroy our world entirely if the Shadowhunters can't end it first.

Why?
I've been reading the previous books for the past two weeks. Of course I can't wait for this book. And I just finished City of Lost Souls. OMG! It was AMAZING!

So, what are you waiting for?

Keep On Reading!
